"Deep-drought" state

Droughts are defined not only by their depth ...

But also their duration (in weeks).

Can you see the drought
springs of 2009 and 2011
compared to today?
Yes, the alligator holes are drying up.

But how long will that condition last?

In the springs of 2009 (Deep Wildfire) and 2011 (Jarhead Wildfire), this deep drought state lasted for 9 and 14 weeks, respectively.

So far this year, we're just 2-3 weeks in.
