Summer bounty still evident in Lake

As the water table drops out from under the swamp,

Relatively speaking, the water level in Lake Okeechobee isn't low (for April).

Yes, after its big bounty of summer rains, stage in Lake Okeechobee has dropped 3 feet since October, currently placing the Lake surface at just under 14 feet above sea level.

BTW: that matches the Lake's long-term normal (i.e. based on the 25 yr record) for early April.

Next steps:

Figuring out ways to help the Big Cypress Swamp to similarly hold onto its summer bounty of rain.
