Unfiltered swamp water served daily
Hi Bob: You are right about putting wood storks at the top of your cartoon of getting the water right. Wood storks this year in the southern EG, and for the first time in over a decade in Corkscrew, are nesting successfully in large numbers per my colleague Mark Cook at SFWMD and my observations at Wakodahatchee (75 pairs). They have experienced what I call goldilocks conditions. Last year's wet El Nino increased fish production and this year they started nesting December / January for the first time in a long time. And except for a brief rain glitch in April water levels continue to drop opening up areas with fish concentrations all over the place.Best, Tom
Thanks for the info, Tom!
