Dome gets singed

Cypress domes are the low spots of the swamp.

That affords them more natural protection from wildfires when they strike.

Inside the dome
(some fire but not much)

 Outside the dome
(pretty much everything burned)
We can improve the ecosystem's natural resilience to fight wildfire by taking measures, where possible, to replumb the legacy drainage infrastructure that crisscrosses the swamp.

Balanced water and fire cycles are vital the swamp's long-term health.
