From this point forward,

Water levels start their seasonal decline.

The above hydrograph shows water depth in Big Cypress National Preserve (this year = blue line and last year = red line.  The hydrograph also includes elevation of the swamp's major plant communities and the long-term statistics as measured from 1993-2014 as a backdrop.
Not that the water is going anywhere fast.

The tall cypress should hold on to their water until 2017.
This calendar chart shows the history of water depth in Big Cypress National Preserve from 1993 to present.  Cool colors indicate times of high water (i.e. in the pines) and areas which no color coding indicate times of drought.

As for the pines, they will go dry first ...

With the moist marl prairies going crunchy next.
