Some people prefer calling the water year that we are currently in (and will conclude on April 30th) Water Year 2016. But I much prefer chronologically linking the water year with the previous summer, i.e. the wet season rains (and usually not the winter's) is the hydrologic cycle's most pivotal event.
Thus to me we are still in Water Year 2015.
