Uh oh!

We still haven't got our cold front,

But the rain chart seems to say fall is here.

This chart shows the seven-day running rain total for Big Cypress Nat'l Preserve from November 2014 to present.  The solid black line shows the long-term median.  On either side of Labor Day the summer rains went into high gear.  As you can also see the middle of the summer was sort of a rain bust.  The official 6-month wet season rain tally does not end until November 1st, thus technically we still have about three weeks to go.  But that will  have to be tropical or frontal rain, from this point forward we can probably count the afternoon showers out.

Just as Memorial Day marks its start,

Columbus Day usually coincides with its end.

Only thing missing is if we'd just get that front!

(i.e. cool dry air it brings.)
