Meteorologic false start?

Every spring we get what I call ...

A meteorologic false start.

The chart above confirms that the start of the traditional summer rainy season still has a ways to go.  That doesn't mean we won't take any April and May rain we can get!

By that I mean regular afternoon clouds begin to appear.

But it isn't until mid to late May, around Memorial Day, that giant clouds become a mainstay of the afternoon sky.

Until then look for this current rainy trend to sputter out.
