Dog days of spring

You know the wet season has arrived ...

When we reliably (week after week) receive over an inch of rain.

The rain chart above displays running seven-day rain totals from April 2014 to present.  The solid blue curve shows the actual seven day rain total over that period and the black line shows the long-term seven-day running median.  As you can see, it isn't until the period from Memorial Day to Columbus Day that the median (i.e. 50 percent chance) running weekly rainfall total breaks consistently above zero.  Can you see our current location on the chart?
This past week has netted us close to an inch.

I just don't know if it's reliable.

i.e. A final bought of dry weather could still settle in before the real wet season (starting later in May) finally begins.
