Apparently, the technically correct term isn’t rolly polly, but rather olive instead, per its zoological place in the Olividae family. But why let scientific standards get in the way of a better descriptive term (and even if the name has already been given to a bug).
The shell looks more like a rolly polly than an olive to me.
