Where does the water come from in the Loop Unit for it to get so high so fast? Seems too much for local rainfall, culverts from the north?

One station, called LOOP1, about 5 miles west of Forty Mile Bend, stays high well into winter and bounces up first too, because of the adjacent canal, which is recharged with water from the Everglades. I think that's what you're talking about.
