How to: Fight drought

It's dry everywhere in Big Cypress Nat'l Preserve,

But there is no place drier than the Huckabee Fire right now.

Canals and levees repress water levels in that area.

Thus, when natural drought strikes, its places like these that dry out fastest and deepest, and the first place that wildfire strikes.

The short-term solution is calling in fire fighters, but the long-term fix is to fill in canals and open up the dikes.
