The summer wet season and the winter dry season.

| We are currently at the point where the tall cypress are wet but most of the marl prairies are dry. |
But that doesn't account for water soaking and filling up for the summer's first half or for water hanging around for months after the sky has turned dry. A month into the dry season is often wetter than a month into the wet.
I call that the hydrologic lag effect.
Maybe I'm too close to it,
The swamp seasons for me are an infinite blend.
