Heh, I thought that too until today when I went to the grocery store in Boca to grab a sandwich for lunch. Could be an issue of civil vs nautical vs astronomical twilight.
I like your twilight idea. May have to research. The empty beach may have had some relation to the cloudy day. A day later it was a little more crowded.
