Eternal winter?

Each spring I'm struck by the uneven schedule of the green out.

But usually by April I can count on cypress trees being verdant green.

Last year's Jarhead Wildfire
left behind large swaths of dead trees.

Not this year,

Not over where the Jarhead Wildfire roared.


Vast stands of cypress appear stuck in their winter state.

Although in this case they are actually dead.
