“You break it, you own it” is a saying all water managers know.
The problem of course is nobody ever set out to break it so much as they tried to improve it and then the next person in line set out to improve those improvements and before you know it we have a great big mess.
I’m not saying we can’t fix the water cycle …
But isn’t there something to be said for “leaving well enough alone?”
Too late for that!
Of course the unofficial policy is to keep putting the inevitable off.
Somewhere the water cycle is laughing …
Or do I mean crying?
