The winter that wasn't

How warm is Florida?

We only average 19 days of winter all year.

The winter of 2009-2010 was particularly cold

In Florida we define winter as any day that the
high temperature doesn’t rise above 70° F.

We’ve only had 6 of those so far this winter.

By any definition, it's been a warm winter in Florida this year.

Rob,
What is with the news article I am seeing in the Rapid City (SD) Journal about "the Senator" catching fire and burning itself up, or down, as the case may be. How does a bald cypress self-destruct like that?

Very sad. I flew over that area on Sunday, from 35,000 feet and carefully reviewed my photos. To think that it was still down there on that day, its very last after 3,500 years is heart breaking.
