Halfway between Miami and Naples ...
are groves of giant cypress that scrape top of the sky.

Aren't they beautiful? But I vote for the size of the swamp--it's huge.
I think that I have to agree with Lynda...The size of the swamp trumps the size of the trees.
There's something about being in kneed deep water (looking up) that makes them seem probably taller than they are.
Also, they're twice as tall if you count the reflection.
