L.A. Smog?

Twenty one thousand acre wildfire
+ early morning radiation fog = smog.

Top: Looking north from Tamiami Trail, Wednesday 8 am
Bottom: Panoramic of Trail at same time, west to Naples (left) and east to Miami (right)

Twenty two thousand acre wildfire
+ heat of daytime sun = just smoke instead.

Same as top pair but at 3 pm

The first photo does look like LA smog. That's a lot of acres burned. I hope the fire can be controlled soon.

No matter what form it is in...it is kind of sad.

With the water so low, the natural fire breaks are gone. A good wet season shower could put it out, but we're still waiting. There's a 30 percent chance today but the next couple days after forecasts dry air out of the northeast.
