Yesterday Nicole dropped lots of rain on the east coast, but here in the middle of the peninsula at Big Cypress Nat'l Preserve it's been a mostly rainless day.
To the east (towards Miami), clouds were a thick gray stew.
To the west (towards Naples) skies were bright and blue.
Or in other words, a very near meteorologic miss.

Well, darn. You would think a hurricane would have the decency to send a few drops your way.
I like your panorama - it tells the story very neatly.
We got an inch out of it in the preserve, it rained more the two days prior from some tropical moisture streaming up along a frontal boundary.
